We would have liked to hear from Booba, who had the idea for the series. But at the Séries Mania festival in Lille (North), where “Ourika” was previewed, leaving the competition empty-handed, the rapper was absent. “We discovered someone very humble, who wants to let the actors represent the project, it’s important for him,” explains Adam Bessa, who plays the role of Driss, one of the key roles in this seven-episode creation, put online this Thursday, March 28 on Prime Video.
The scenario of this fiction, whose title is inspired by a valley in the Moroccan High Atlas, is quite classic. In the midst of the riots of 2005, triggered by the deaths of Zyed and Bouna in the Paris suburbs, a family of cannabis traffickers, the Jebli, played cat and mouse with the police and tried to develop their lucrative business.
