Country Garden announces that it "will not be able to publish the 2023 financial statements by March 30", having the need to "gather more information for appropriate accounting estimates". In a file to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the private Chinese real estate giant, which has ended up in default and is pending a liquidation request, explained that the securities will be suspended from trading "from 9am on April 2". The board, in this regard, believes that the move "will not have a material impact" on operations which see the delivery of homes on the domestic front and the restructuring of offshore debt "in the normal process".
