The project is also described as "an unprecedented look into the non-stop life of a cultural luminary." With her wrap dress, Diane von Fürstenberg has indeed become a fashion phenomenon, to the point that her creation is exhibited at the
Costume Institute
of MoMA, the museum of modern art in New York. But its fame is not due to a single design. Andy Warhol shot portraits of her and she has chaired the Council of American Fashion Designers since 2006. “At a time when gender equality and women's issues are at the forefront, Diane von Fürstenberg's life is an example of empowerment, resilience, entrepreneurship and style,” the press release states.
