More than one hundred investment opportunities and 166 industrial divisions provided by the Investment Authority in Damascus International Fair

DAMASCUS, (SANA) - The Syrian Investment Authority (SIA) offers all its services at its stand at the 61st session of the Damascus International Fair

The Syrian Investment Commission in its stand at the Damascus International Fair, in its sixty-first session, provides all the services of one-window and include investment projects and offer opportunities and provide information and services to modify the project's home and modify specifications, in addition to the provision of new services from the establishment of companies and registration of workers to the owners of investment projects covered by the provisions of the investment law.

The Commission works to communicate and interact with investors and provide all services in its pavilion through the specialized technical team, which includes a group of cadres and representatives of public bodies to promote investment in Syria and listen to the views of local and foreign investors and inform them of available investment opportunities.

The Director of the Investment Authority Madin Diab explained that the Authority offers a bouquet of promotional materials that provide sufficient information to investors about the legislative and institutional environment in Syria and disclose with full transparency the procedures for starting the establishment of the investment project and the incentives and facilities of Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2007 “Investment Law”. Syria, Arab and friendly countries, including Oman, Iran, Russia, China, Romania and Pakistan, where they were briefed on the investment opportunities offered by the Authority in various sectors and how to convert them into projects.

Diab pointed out that the investment concerns of the delegations focused mainly on the energy and extractive industries sectors, in addition to the manufacturing and transport sectors, expecting that the pavilion will witness the inclusion of projects during the exhibition or immediately after the exhibition, in light of the inquiries received by the Authority from investors.

He pointed out that the Authority provides 109 investment opportunities in most sectors, which have been developed based on new criteria starting from the economic needs and development priorities of each ministry and governorate and identify these opportunities in detail with a special care and provide a package of facilities from the concerned authorities.

According to Diab, the opportunities were distributed to 77 sectors in the manufacturing industry, 10 in the extractive industry, 11 in the electricity and energy sector, 7 in the tourism sector and 4 in the agricultural and animal production sectors. To launch investment properties from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Authority is working to align them with the desires of investors looking for sites for their projects.

Diab pointed out that the pavilion of the Authority has been expanded at the exhibition this year.
