Six magistrates of the Supreme Court of Spain unanimously approved the exhumation of the remains of the dictator Franciso Franco. The Spanish Government had approved the procedure this year, considering that it should not remain in the Valley of the Fallen, where the body has been located since 1975. Initially, the exhumation was scheduled for June 10. But the Supreme Court paralyzed the procedure, as a precautionary measure, after the appeal filed by the Franco family.
