(Expansion) - The 'Prince of the song', José José, died this Saturday after months of reports of his delicate state of health, caused by pancreatic cancer at age 71.

Throughout his life, José José was the idol of several generations, thanks to his nostalgic songs, which have been heard on vinyl records and today, even on Spotify.

This is a brief summary of the impact that his music has had:

1. For its more than 30 record productions, it was deserving of more than 200 gold and platinum records thanks to its successful sales.
