Prague-Sana

Czech Foreign Minister Tomasz Petrjecik demanded an immediate halt to the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, stressing that it violates international law and contradicts it.

In a statement to the Czech media after a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg yesterday, Petrjecik said that the aggression also threatens the political process to resolve the crisis in Syria.

For his part, the head of the European Committee in the Slovak Parliament, Dr. Lubush Blaha told SANA correspondent in Prague that the Turkish aggression is a flagrant violation of international law and the whole world condemned him .. The international community must act immediately to stop it.

Blaha reiterated his support to Syria in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that the European Commission in the Slovak Parliament will work to alert Turkey to its aggression and ensure that it is punished for its crimes in Syria.

He stressed that the only body that can protect Syrian citizens is the Syrian Arab Army.

In a statement, the World Peace Council strongly condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory and called for its immediate cessation and withdrawal of all occupied foreign forces from Syria, stressing that only the Syrians decide the future of their country.

The Council expressed its full solidarity with the courageous struggle of the Syrian people against terrorism, occupation and aggression.
