Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the completion of the withdrawal of armed groups from the border between Syria and Turkey in accordance with the Sochi Agreement.
The Russian minister said during his talks with his Armenian counterpart David Tonoyan in Yerevan that the withdrawal of armed groups from northern Syria ended ahead of schedule, pointing out the arrival of units of the Syrian Arab Army and Russian military police to the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed yesterday that the Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the withdrawal of armed groups in the north of Syria to a depth of 30 km in direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, which withdraws the basic pretext for the brutal Turkish aggression on its territory.
