Al-Hasakah-Sana
Six people were injured today in an explosion near the Darbasiyah crossing on the Syrian-Turkish border in the northern countryside of al-Hasakah while a Russian military police patrol was present.
SANA's correspondent in al-Hasakah said people were wounded in the blast, which was believed to have been caused by a mortar shell fired from the Turkish side.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said later that the explosion was caused by the explosion of an unknown explosive device near Russian armored vehicles that stood at the Darbasiyah crossing on the Syrian-Turkish border.
The ministry confirmed that there were no casualties among the Russian military as a result of the explosion or any damage to vehicles belonging to the Russian military police.
