While the International Space Station orbited the Earth, Morgan took pictures of a fire just above the San Francisco Bay Area.
"Thinking about the people who have lost their homes and the brave lifeguards in the front line protecting them," Morgan wrote on Facebook.

The photos appear to be from the Kincade fire, which is 30% contained, and possibly another. The fire began on October 23 and has since burned more than 31,089 hectares. Some 5,001 officials are working to extinguish the fire; 592 fire trucks and 27 helicopters are assisting in the work.
The fire burned 206 structures and threatens 80,435 homes.
