The Ministry of Endowments today launched the website of the “Tafseer Al-Jama'ah” at Al-Othman Mosque in Damascus.

Minister of Awqaf Dr. Mohammad Abdul Sattar al-Sayyed stressed that the launch of the website is a qualitative leap in the face of extremism and atonement, especially that cyberspace contains thousands of websites that broadcast the lies of terrorists and the Muslim Brotherhood and Wahhabism. Minister al-Sayyid said that the overarching interpretation is a key building block in the development of religious discourse and has therefore been adopted as an important part of the legal curricula in schools and institutes of the religious establishment.

The Minister of Awqaf gave a detailed explanation of the features of the site, pointing out that it is a step to confirm the presence of the Syrian thought of scholars of the Levant on the Internet in the face of extremist calls and ideas.

The Minister reviewed the importance of the new reference of the Council of jurisprudence scientific launched by the Ministry recently and is a great achievement for the development of the jurisprudence of religious thought and the introduction of work on the ground.

The site displays its content in both Arabic and English and includes icons under the titles of "Tafsir al-tafsir, verse expressions, word interpretation, Qur'anic illuminations, visual library and icon about inquiries by readers."

The launch was attended by the President of the Union of Levant Scholars, Assistant to the Minister of Awqaf, Mufti of Damascus and its countryside and a large number of scholars and teachers of the Holy Quran.
