HKMA: Mortgage loans in October decrease by 3.9% month-on-month

The HKMA announced that the amount of new mortgage loans approved in October decreased by 3.9% month-on-month to 32.6 billion yuan. Among them, loans approved in the primary market increased by 4.6% to 9.1 billion yuan; loans approved in the secondary market increased by 14.6

The HKMA announced that the amount of new mortgage loans approved in October decreased by 3.9% month-on-month to 32.6 billion yuan. Among them, loans approved in the primary market increased by 4.6% to 9.1 billion yuan; loans approved in the secondary market increased by 14.6% to 12.8 billion yuan.

As regards loans approved for refinancing exchanges, it decreased by 24% to 10.6 billion Hong Kong dollars.

The amount of new mortgage loans drawn down in October decreased by 23.5% month-on-month to 26.3 billion yuan. The total outstanding mortgage loans in October increased by 0.5% month-on-month to 1.4228 trillion yuan.

The mortgage loan delinquency ratio was maintained at 0.02%, and the restructured loan ratio was maintained at close to 0%.
