The commander of the internal security forces in the Iranian province of Fars Brigadier General Reham Bakhsh Habibi announced today the arrest of nine of the main elements involved in the riots in the city of Shiraz, the center of the province of the south of the country.
`` After extensive investigations during the past few days, the security forces have identified nine key elements associated with anti-foreign groups that were disturbing and rioting, '' Habibi was quoted by Fars news agency as saying.
Habibi stressed that the internal security forces will confront those who disrupt the system and public security in a firm and legal manner.
Habibi had recently announced the arrest of 15 key elements involved in the recent riots in the city of Shiraz.
