A study shows that the number of Argentines who identify with the Catholic religion has declined significantly in the last 10 years. According to the survey conducted by the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), in 1960 the estimated number of Catholic believers was 90%; in 2008 the figure dropped to 76.5% and in 2019 it was 62.9%.
