Regular supervision of the children and cameras in dormitories could have prevented unnecessary deaths such as that of Arie Bogrov of Haifa, who was strangled to death in kindergarten. Change to the Preschool Supervision Law: The next disaster is already here

We recently "celebrated" a year of enactment of the Early Childhood Day Care Act, a law that until now has not had the appropriate regulations in place and is therefore ineffective. But one of the things we hoped for, we parents, is to change our perception, understanding the importance of supervising our children, not necessarily external supervision, but simply a staff member who will be with the children all the time, if not for the educator, at least for the supervisor.

I do not want to address a specific case of injury or unfortunate accident in which a toddler was injured, but changing the consciousness that kindergarten staff would be aware of the end result, the death of a baby - just because no one was watching, and when captured, no one would rescue him - was Can avoid this unnecessary case.

Regular supervision of the group of children, and exclusion of the poor cause, would have prevented unnecessary deaths. But in today's reality, we live from here to now and do not see the results of our actions. There is no doubt that if someone thought that a baby would lose his life because of that damn string of curtain, no one would leave it that way, not even for a second. But here, exactly, our lack of consciousness, as a society, reaches the final results. Anyone who chooses to take care of the children today must put his lion in front of his eyes and think: If I leave even a moment of safety hazard or do not regularly look after the children, one of the children may end his life.

The death of a lion from Haifa again reinforces the need for online cameras. Not sure this case would have been avoided, but maybe a parent who was looking at the cameras would see the horrible case and call a staff member. Although the cameras are not a permanent solution to the basic care required in the early childhood sector of the country, there is no choice and when there is no real change in the near horizon, every action must be taken to prevent the continued harm to the children and to send the children in the morning with a quiet heart, we will receive them return.

After two years where the issue of preschoolers is rising to awareness every week, there may still be places where no one looks after the children, long enough for a baby to suffocate and find its death.

This day is sad, not just for the toddler's family, but for all of us. And we have the solution: changing the situation and making regulations in the supervision law.
