US Senator Kamala Harris does not want to pull against Donald Trump in the US election campaign. The Democrat announced on Tuesday evening to renounce her candidacy.
From 2004 to 2011, Harris was a district attorney in San Francisco, and from 2011 to 2017, she served as the Attorney General in the most populous state. She was the first woman and the first black woman in this office. Since 2017 she sits for California in the Senate. In January, she announced her candidacy, now followed by the retreat.
Harris is known as a critic of Trump's tough immigration policy. Among other things, she campaigned vehemently for the "Dreamer", young migrants who came illegally to the United States as children. They are protected by the program Daca.
This protects hundreds of thousands of people in the United States. But Trump wanted to deprive them of the right to stay.
