The Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and all the East renewed his call for lifting the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria.
After a prayer with the Archbishop of Salzburg, Franz Lackner, Patriarch Al-Absi said that the Syrian people are suffering from unilateral coercive measures and called for intensifying efforts to influence the West to lift all such measures from Syria.
Patriarch Abssi also met with the governor of the Austrian province of Salzburg, Flevred Hazlauer, in the presence of the Catholic Archbishop of Australia, Robert Rabat.
Patriarch Abssi is currently visiting Austria at the invitation of Cardinal Austria Christoph Schönbrunn.
During his meeting with Polish President Ange Duda in Warsaw last December, Patriarch Abssi called for lifting unilateral coercive measures on Syria and restoring peace.
