Zhou Haoding, a member of the Legislative Council of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong (DAB), asked written questions about the authorities' efforts to speed up the implementation of multiple railway line projects. Chen Fan replied in writing that MTR has submitted five railway project proposals for the seven new railway projects mentioned in the Railway Development Strategy 2014, including Tuen Mun South Extension Line, North Link Line, East Kowloon Line, Tung Chung Line extension and North Island Line.

In the coming year, MTR will be invited to submit as soon as possible the Tung Chung Line Extension, Tuen Mun South Extension Line and North Link Line for detailed planning and design.
