Today, the Damascus Chamber of Commerce launched its center for entrepreneurship, which is the first of its kind at the level of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce, and opened the business incubator, which is one of the center's services, at the Chamber’s headquarters.

Chamber President Ghassan Al-Qalaa stressed during a ceremony held by the way the importance of the center, which comes as part of the chamber’s orientation to improve its economic and social role to enhance the business culture, pointing to the cooperation of many parties to reach the launch of this center and the opening of the incubator.

The Dean of the Higher Institute of Business Administration, Dr. Hayyan Deeb, stressed the importance of launching the center under the current circumstances as a way to adapt to these conditions, especially by launching new projects for young people to encourage their transformation into productive projects.

In turn, the head of the Syrian Marketing Association Hossam Al-Nashawati explained that the launch of the center and the opening of the incubator is an important step to support small projects and it needs networking and cooperation from many parties to provide support in order to consolidate them due to its positive role in society.

In turn, the Director General of the Chamber, Dr. Amer Kharbutli, clarified the tasks that the center will perform in supporting the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth segment and encouraging innovative ideas in the field of trade, industry and services, preparing studies on entrepreneurship and identifying the problems encountered, as well as supervising the business incubator and The Damascus Chamber of Commerce Award for Entrepreneurship and the commercial guide initiative to support young entrepreneurs and establish a unit to support and develop small and medium enterprises.

During the ceremony, a number of owners of projects that the Chamber embraced presented a presentation of their projects, including aspects of economic and social services and their advantages.
