(CNN) - Juventus and Portugal soccer team fans, don't worry, Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't plan to retire soon.
But when his football career comes to an end, the 34-year-old says he would like to go into acting.
He would not be the first player to make that move, as Eric Cantona and Vinnie Jones went from the field to the big screen after hanging up their boots.

"I hope to live more than 50 years to learn new things and face different challenges and try to find solutions for them," Ronaldo said according to Goal at the Dubai Sports Conference. "One of the things I try to challenge myself, for example, is to act in a movie."
“I always recommend learning everything new. This is what I always strive for. I always seek to educate myself, because my studies tend to answer many of the questions in my mind, ”he added.
However, it could be a while before the former Real Madrid player, Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon changed their profession.
He is still strong in football, scoring 10 goals this season in Serie A even though he reportedly doesn't get along with Juventus' new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Players continue to compete at 40
For most of this decade, he has fought against Lionel Messi of Barcelona for the title of men's footballer of the year: the Argentine has six Golden Ball titles against Ronaldo's five.
"Several years ago, the age of playing football was up to 30-32, but now, one finds those who are 40 years old playing in the field," Ronaldo said.
