Dead Sea tragedy: A 70-year-old hiker was killed when he fell from a 25-foot cliff.
The hiker toured with a group in the nature reserve from a replica of the Einot Tsukim area in the northern Dead Sea For a reason unknown, he left the group and went down the marked path. As soon as the information about the hiker's disappearance was received, the rescue unit volunteers set out to scan the reserve, foot and skate, to locate it.
After about two hours, his body was found through a skeleton of the Nature and Parks Authority, which also directed the IDF's rescue scrolls to a point. The body was evacuated with the help of the IDF 669 unit. An initial investigation of the incident revealed that after leaving the group, the hiker continued about 150 meters east toward Route 90, and fell from a height of about 25 meters.
