The Lattakia Swimming Team won 15 different medals in the Republic Championship, in the categories of Cubs, Cubs, Junior and Junior held in Tishreen Swimming Pool in Damascus recently.

In the Young category, Aboud Ainawi won two silver medals in the 100-meter freestyle and 50-meter freestyle, Zain Zaidan bronze 100-meter freestyle, and the Aboud-bronze 50-meter freestyle, and in young girls she won a painful silver with a 50-meter free silver, and Christina Esper bronze 100 meters free.

Lattakia swimming coach Mohamed Zidan said in a statement to the Sana Sports correspondent, "The championship competitions were strong and marked the players of the Lattakia team in the performance and results in various competitions, which is a positive indication of the development of the game in the province and the expansion of its base of practitioners in small groups."

The endosperm team achieved good results during its participation in the championship, where the achieved results were Zaina Al Majdalani receiving a 100-meter bronze butterfly, 200-meter assortment, Faris Abu Khair on a 100-meter bronze, and Rand Al-Hadi a 100-meter bronze chest.

The head of the technical sub-committee for the game Rabi'a Al-Khatib indicated that the achieved results are good compared to the difficulties, the most important of which is the absence of a winter pool in the governorate and the need to take the players to Damascus for training one day a week, which is a burden on them indicating that the arrangement of the Sweida team in the tournament was acceptable.
