The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Damascus held a reception this evening on the occasion of the sixty-first anniversary of the victory of the Cuban revolution at the Ambassador's residence.
Jurga pointed out to the existing cooperation between the two countries, which is being promoted, especially in the close health and media field, through the news agencies of the two countries, SANA and France Latina.
For his part, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Ayman Sosan, affirmed that the Cuban revolution made Cuba a legend in the steadfastness and an icon in the liberation struggle and a beacon for the liberals and militants in the world, noting that Cuba is a leadership and people who have been struggling for 61 years in the face of the unjust US blockade imposed on them.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Presidency Affairs Mansour Azzam, Health Dr. Nizar Yazji, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, member of the Central Command of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Dr. Mohsen Bilal, Deputy Speaker of the People's Assembly Najdat Anzour, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad and a number of representatives of diplomatic missions in Damascus and a number of Heads of popular organizations, professional associations, and representatives of national parties.
