The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Damascus held a reception this evening on the occasion of the sixty-first anniversary of the victory of the Cuban revolution at the Ambassador's residence.

The Cuban ambassador in Damascus, Miguel Porto Parga, affirmed in a speech that has the depth of historical ties and ties that unite Cuba and Syria dating back 55 years and that his country will continue to support Syria in international forums and its right to return all its lands and liberate them from the abomination of terrorism.

Jurga pointed out to the existing cooperation between the two countries, which is being promoted, especially in the close health and media field, through the news agencies of the two countries, SANA and France Latina.

For his part, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Ayman Sosan, affirmed that the Cuban revolution made Cuba a legend in the steadfastness and an icon in the liberation struggle and a beacon for the liberals and militants in the world, noting that Cuba is a leadership and people who have been struggling for 61 years in the face of the unjust US blockade imposed on them.

Susan noted Cuba's stances and its standing firmly with Syria in the face of the conspiracy and the terrorist aggression that it is exposed to and its support in international forums, which is not surprising because the two countries are subjected to the same war and aggression from imperialism represented by the United States in its worst form.
