Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video on Monday regarding his meeting with Naama Issachar's mother, Yaffe, and ahead of the expected meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

More on:

• Netanyahu on the possibility that Naama Issachar will be released: "Putin has a willingness to come to a solution"

• Hint of approaching release? Naama's mother would return to Israel after spending time with her in Russia

• "Without warm clothes": Naama Issachar was transferred to a remote prison without her family's knowledge

A statement issued by the Prime Minister stated that "I met Yaffe today, Naama Issachar's mother. I hugged her on behalf of you all, and told her that as the Kremlin released today, I am expected to meet with President Putin on Thursday and discuss pardon with her. I hope as you do good news. "

Earlier today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the head of the NSC, Meir Ben Shabbat, met with Yaffe Issachar and other family members, presumably ahead of the Russian president's visit to Israel.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier today estimated that the release of Naama Issachar, the Israeli young woman being held in Russia after being convicted of drug smuggling, will rise during talks between President Putin and Israeli officials visiting his country.

During a press conference at the Russian presidential office, Peskov declined to address whether the Kremlin plans to allow pardon for the Israeli young woman and her release from prison. "There is no doubt that the issue of Naama Issachar will be raised during the president's meeting with Mr. Netanyahu, and then the issue will be discussed among the leaders. We will not announce anything on the issue in the meantime," said Peskov.
