Killed by malaria at 44, after taking a holiday in Nigeria. Her name was Loredana Guida, she was a teacher but also - and for more than 15 years - a journalist. For a week she was hospitalized in intensive care at the "San Giovanni di Dio" hospital in Agrigento from where doctors asked for and obtained specific consultations from the hospitals of Palermo and Rome.
