THAILAND: Local security forces have been able to capture and kill the soldier after he killed and murdered at least 21 people, police and the Thai army said on Sunday. "Police killed the offender and managed to rescue eight hostages who were staying with him at the hiding place," one of the officials said.

Thailand's health minister was quick to respond and confirmed the soldier's death when he wrote in his Facebook account "Thank you to the police and military for ending the incident. The shooter was shot dead !!".

A statement on the event's summary stated that 42 people were injured during the barricade. Twenty-one of them were sent to their homes and another 21 are still hospitalized with varying degrees of injury.

Recall, the shooting started around 3pm when the soldier opened fire at his home before moving to the military camp and then to a mall in the city of Nahun Ratchasima, which is in northeast Thailand.

For more than 12 hours when he was fortified inside the mall, at least 20 civilians were killed, and another security man who was wounded and later died from his wounds at the hospital.

The attacker claimed during the attack record that he was "tired and unable to move my fingers". He wondered to the surfers "Should I go on? Should it put an end to it?"

Before the attack, the shooter wrote: "Those who get rich cheat and exploit other people, do you think they can spend their money in hell? You can't escape death."
