" Populism " , in its French and international dimension, has become the watchword of political analysis. Recent works focus on this subject, deemed vital here with the approach of a dreaded deadline: the probable confrontation, in 2022, between the outgoing president and a “ populist ” candidate. Because if the qualification “ extreme right” continues to be used to designate the National Gathering, everyone feels that the volumes of voters now involved as well as their sociological composition make these classifications less effective.
