The first teachers' revaluation scenarios are refined for 2021 as the discussions progress. To compensate for a reduction in pensions linked to the pension reform, the government has made several commitments in recent months to raise their level of remuneration for several years. There is still talk of a 10 billion euro global increase by 2037.

The first step of the staircase is the year 2021 with 500 million euros to distribute. The four scenarios presented last week to teachers' unions divide in the profession because the ministry has decided to focus its efforts on the youngest, who are also the most affected by the pension reform. All the scenarios mainly concern the first " steps " and, to a lesser extent, the following grades.
