Confederaciones Rurales Argentinas (CRA) decided a cessation of grain marketing and finance as a form of protest over the Government's lack of response to the request to lower the tax pressure on the field.

And it expects the support of the other three entities that make up the Liaison Committee (Coninagro, Rural Society and Agrarian Federation) to define the details of the force measure.

Precisely, the request of greater hardness against the Government has been heard in the different assemblies that have been made throughout the country.

The proposal of the force measure came from the Confederation of Rural Associations of Buenos Aires and La Pampa (Carbap), one of the member associations of CRA (the most combative) that decided to pick up the glove of the producers and go with this proposal to the meeting held today of the Directing Council, which was finally approved.

"Without a joint work agenda with the current Government, and a Field-Government relationship that allows generating mechanisms that generate certainty, confidence and hope, it is difficult to move forward," said the statement released by the union.

According to the CRA brief, "this must be accompanied by a relief from the overwhelming tax pressure suffered by citizens as a whole, as well as the need to reduce political spending, thus giving signals in the right direction."

Now, it remains to know the decisions of the remaining entities that the Liaison Board groups.

Clarín Rural communicated yesterday (when Carbap's request to cease marketing was known) with two of the union presidents and explained that the decision was to be taken when the Boards of each entity meet.

"We are waiting for the definition of the Government, we do not want to hurry the steps. Nor are all bases the same, there are some on alert near the route and others that are not," said the head of the Agrarian Federation, Carlos Achetoni.

"We had a meeting in mid-January and last week with all the councilors of the provinces and nobody talked about a measure of strength. There is concern and discomfort but it was not on the agenda," Carlos Iannizzotto , president of Coninagro, explained. .
