Until the appeal of the preventive is resolved, they will continue in the Alcaidía de Dolores. But then they could move on to another sector of the overcrowded criminal or go to another jail anywhere in the Province.

A penitentiary is going to approach the fence. He will name them all eight, by last name and by name. And he will give you the news: "Prepare 'the monkey'. Transfer . " If the rugbiers to whom on Friday the judge of Guarantees of Gesell dictated the preventive one for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa ask the destiny, the answer will be "without destiny". In jargon, the detainees' belongings are called "mono": clothes, shoes, stereo. Everything is usually wrapped in a blanket, and is loaded at shoulder height.

From that moment the rugbiers will begin to notice what jail is . They will get on the truck that will wait for them on the inside of Unit 6 and will travel to Unit 29 of Magdalena. At least that's what the protocol says, what the vast majority of detainees live.

As long as the preventive appeal is not confirmed, the rugbiers will continue in the Alcaidía de Dolores. And if the Chamber ratifies the judge's decision, there would be a transfer to another unit of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB) or they could even stay in Dolores - one of the most overpopulated prisons of the SPB - in a cell with common prisoners.

If the transfer to another prison is made, in the truck they can share a trip with women and men , from 18 to 70 years. Chance will determine whether they live with conflicting and multi-recidivist or primary prisoners of good behavior. They may suffer the theft of their belongings on the trip. Or that they take off their shoes and give them the ones worn by other detainees, always in a worse state.

In Unit 29 of Magdalena 24 hours will pass. They will be surrounded by inmates in their same situation. Or in a similar one: newcomers from the Buenos Aires suburbs, and waiting for a final destination: the options are about 50. From there, in another truck, they will go to the Court, where they will be notified of the unit that awaits them.

The first days in your new destination will be in a "Transit" pavilion. This is what they are called. During that process they will be treated by a doctor who will verify if they are beaten or not when they enter. "Body Review," that office is called. The second step will be a talk with the sector psychologist. It is supposed to help them download a little and contain fears and nerves.

Another step being in the "Transit" pavilion is a meeting with the head of the prison. "What do you plan on doing in this unit?" , is the first question. It will refer to whether they want to study, if they want to work and do good behavior or come with intentions of entering the "villa" pavilions, which are those that receive the worst behavior. In addition, it will be internalized on the personal cause and the social situation of the detainee. The purpose is to avoid conflicts : if the "entry" came because of a violation, or is a policeman, or is gay, or over 50, or suffers contagious diseases, they should not go to the common population.

If they are primary, in general, and whenever there are places available, they would be touched by a detainee flag in the same situation. And if they are repeat offenders, the same: they will go with repeat offenders. In that interview, the inmate can warn that he has problems with a person who is staying in a ward, and that he prefers to avoid that sector, for his safety. It is very common.

From that meeting the boss and his assistants will define the pavilion that would touch them. In the area of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service there is no "Physical Safeguard" (not to cross other detainees), as if it is offered by the Federal Penitentiary Service. The only option is "the mailboxes": 2x2 cells. But being there they could not go out to cultural or sports activities, nor to study, nor to work.

The last step is another doctor, who will ask the detainee if he consumes or needs medication and will tell his teeth and review the status of each, among other issues. After those four steps, the inmate will enter the pavilion that "the Board" appointed him. In the case of rugbiers it is believed that they would be evangelists (in the jargon they are called "little brothers"), primary or sportsmen (although the option exists in very few units).

Throughout the sentence they may be transferred to different units . Although the lawyer made the request to transfer to Unit 57 of Campana for "family proximity", the SPB page informs that this place "exclusively houses young adults, between 18 and 21 years old, male, who are serving a penalty less than five years of imprisonment, related to crimes such as robbery, theft or cover-ups ", so the rugbiers would not meet those conditions . In addition, the vast majority of inmates ask for the same, so that their relatives' visits are more frequent. But the truth is that in the state of overpopulation of Buenos Aires prisons, there are prisoners of the first cordon of the Conurbano in the units of Junín, Batán, Urdampilleta, Sierra Chica, General Alvear and Bahía Blanca, among others.
