Among the Corona virus infected on board a cruise ship in Japan, forty Americans are among the US authorities.
"The American citizens and their families will be evacuated from the Diamond Princess Quarantine in Japan, which has confirmed that more than 300 people on board were infected with the new virus," Sputnik news agency quoted the US State Department as saying today.
About 380 people are scheduled to be accommodated on two evacuation flights from Japan to the United States.
The Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato announced earlier today that the number of people infected with Coronavirus on the cruise ship reached 355 people.
The ship in question arrived off the Japanese coast early February, with more than 3,700 people from more than 50 countries and regions, including passengers and crew, on whom quarantine was imposed on February 5 after the authorities discovered that one of its passengers was infected with the virus.
