Known for presenting the reality show "Love Island", British TV host Caroline Flack, 40, committed suicide in London on Friday, February 14. Her family said in a statement, "We can confirm that our Caroline is deceased. We ask the press to respect the privacy of the family in these difficult times .

Caroline Flack was scheduled to be tried in March. Arrested in December, she was accused of hitting her boyfriend with a lamp while he slept in their apartment in north London, the prosecution announced in January. Caroline Flack's companion denied, saying "she hadn't hit him with a lamp," in an Instagram post.

The prosecution "should reflect on the way in which they set up a show trial which was not only baseless but also of no public interest. And ultimately it caused significant distress for Caroline, " said the presenter's agents in a statement.

The future of the “Love Island” reality TV program, broadcast on the ITV channel, is questioned after a series of dramas. Caroline Flack is the third personality linked to this program to kill herself, after Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Graydon, two participants in the program.

The scandal press had already widely echoed this affair, spreading Caroline Flack on the front page after her arrest. His suicide again made the headlines of the British tabloids on Sunday morning.
