Violent accident on A94: woman crashes into the central crash barrier and collides head-on with a car - then she becomes a ghost driver

Munich - A bad traffic accident occurred on the A94 late Sunday evening between the Feldkirchen West and Feldkirchen Ost junctions. A 44-year-old woman from Haag in the Upper Palatinate was traveling according to the police in the direction of Passau, i.e. out of town. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, she left the lane around 10.40 p.m.

The woman drove into the central guardrail , lost control of her car and then collided head-on with the car of a 48-year-old man from Halle an der Saale. But the situation wasn't over with this first accident .

After the crash, the woman said she completely lost her bearings . Then she drove the A94 in the wrong direction as a ghost driver . This involved her in another accident: the woman crashed into the car of a 27-year-old from Dorfen.

Both the ghost driver and the other two people involved in the accident were slightly injured. Two of them were then taken to Munich hospitals by ambulance as a precaution. The three cars were badly damaged in the accidents and were no longer roadworthy. The police estimate the damage to be around 20,000 euros.

A94 completely blocked after accidents

After the accidents, the A94 between the Feldkirchen West and Feldkirchen Ost junctions was completely blocked for about two hours. The freeway was only partially opened again around 1.15 a.m. Several vehicles from the Munich Fire Brigade and the Hohenbrunn Motorway Service were on site for protection.

On Sunday, an Audi SUV driver crashed into a family van with young people on board the A95. In addition, a pedestrian was hit head-on by a car on the A8 and later died.
