Today marks the International Social Justice Day in the world today. Let's talk about employment justice. Occupational diversity refers to the employment of workers from different populations who face barriers to integrate in the free market, age-discrimination, gender, ethnicity, ethnicity, disability and more.

Pnina Ben Shua also encountered barriers. She is 23, lives in Ramla, has CP (cerebral palsy) and works at the H&M Ramla branch. This is not self-evident, before that it was two years at home because no employer agreed to hire her. During this time, her father and other relatives tried to find jobs for her, but her employers always had a "reason" why not: multiple hours of work, physical work, etc., but these were not at all restrictions that Pearl placed as a condition. Pearl just asked that they let her try to prove herself.

You see, a winemic gem in the soul. She has always been able to achieve the goals she set for herself, thanks to her huge motivation for success and with people who believed in her throughout. She is a swimmer and gymnast, studied regular education (small classroom) and did two years of national service in the prison service. At a labor school where she attended outdoor swimming competitions and the educational team came with the whole class to cheer, and even put up an article in the local newspaper about winning first place. She has a driver’s license and even passed the first test contrary to skeptical statements around.

Good social diversity for business

Shimon, Pnina's father, says: "She's our gasoline. We always told her: Set yourself the goal and go, we're behind you, fight. We can't fight for you but the whole family with you. More. We thank H&M who opened the door for her and gave her a chance. A great place to work is to give an equal opportunity equal opportunity. This excellence is to take those who are difficult and bring it as far as possible. "

He added: "We met with Ruthi - the hot house's employment coordinator. The escort is amazing, close 24/7. It's much easier to have an address, who to talk to and who to contact." Ruth began the employment process with Pnina and soon formed a partnership with H&M as a network that takes seriously a diverse workforce and holds a supervisor for the placement of people with disabilities.

Let us prove ourselves

Pearl is very pleased and happy about her place and still, after about a year of work she thinks about the future and wants to set herself the next goal; Administrative work, more up front, with a career horizon. Together with Ruth, she is looking for the next challenge.

And why should employers accept it or other people with disabilities? Because many studies have found that social diversity is good for business and increases profits. The business is branded as a social and it is good for customers, advertising and sales. We have also earned a more attentive and tolerant employer and staff, as well as unique employees whose work has added value to them and will be done on the best side. That's why we urge employers to open doors. Professional employment coordinators respond and make the process easier and accessible to both employer and employee.

Pnina sums it up best: "Let us really prove ourselves and don't judge us by the limitation. Give us a real chance to prove ourselves, see who we are and grow from that. All of us are equal, everyone has his or her package and difficulties and with that we Winning all the time. "
