Neufahrn - With whom at the top does Neufahrn steer the future? In addition to the incumbent mayor Franz Heilmeier (Greens), five other candidates will fight for the town hall chair in the municipal election on March 15, 2020: Ozan Iyibas (CSU), Norbert Manhart (Free Voters), Maximilian Heumann (SPD), Felix Bergauer (ÖDP) and Marc Bosch (electoral group "Bosch as Mayor"). They all meet at the panel discussion in Neufahrn on Thursday, February 20, at the invitation of the Freisinger Tagblatt.

Up to 600 listeners are expected at the Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium

The evening promises to be exciting. In front of up to 600 citizens in the auditorium of the Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium, six strong candidates for mayor from the middle of the population want to compete for the favor of the voters. There are enough interesting topics for an entertaining evening: Regardless of whether settlement pressure, climate change, traffic pollution or affordable housing - the moderators and, ultimately, the audience as well, thoroughly examine the candidate.

The Neufahrner election campaign received a lot of attention nationwide in advance: The fact that the CSU sends Ozan Iyibas a Muslim into the mayor race had made headlines across Germany.
