Discussing the procedures for qualifying Syrian bakeries and halls for trade and grain silos in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo

Dr. Atef Naddaf, Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, during his meeting with the ration family in Aleppo today discussed the measures taken to rehabilitate and activate the institutions of the ministry from the Syrian bakeries and galleries for trade and grain silos in the southwestern countryside of the governorate after liberating it from terrorism and ways to secure the needs of citizens.

Minister Naddaf stressed during the meeting that took place at the Grain Foundation building in Aleppo, the Ministry’s keenness to continue providing the best services to citizens and the provision of food commodities through the Syrian galleries for trade and work to improve the loaf industry and its quality and availability in bakeries in the countryside and the city, calling on those concerned in the Syrian trade to secure goods through Direct import or purchase of the product and the completion of mediation rings to put food commodities within the reach of the consumer with the cheapest prices and good quality.

Naddaf stressed the necessity of following up market control, controlling prices, and combating counterfeit and unknown sources, pointing to the importance of developing bakery work and following up on analyzing food commodities.

Regarding the liberated areas, Naddaf called for securing the needs of the people in terms of goods and supplies, provision of bread via mobile cars, rehabilitation and maintenance of grain mills and silos, and provision of the necessary materials in the Imran Foundation for reconstruction.

For his part, Engineer Hussein Yusef Qassem, Director General of the Syrian Grain Foundation, stated that the Foundation is working on preparing for the current grain season, receiving wheat from farmers and working to rehabilitate mills that were damaged by terrorism and put them in investment.

In turn, Eng. Jalil Ibrahim, Director General of the General Organization for Bakeries, said that work will be done to assess the damage caused to bakeries in towns and the country liberated from terrorism in order to restart them and secure the bread for citizens.

For his part, Ahmed Najem, the Syrian General Director of Trade, mentioned the measures taken to rehabilitate and open 22 halls in the liberated areas, to prepare two halls for refrigeration, and to restore the remaining halls in Aleppo with a view to opening them and securing the necessary materials and goods for citizens.
