The Chinese National Health Commission announced today that it has received reports of 397 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 109 new deaths from 31 provinces-level regions.
"Of the 106 deaths, they were recorded in central China's Hubei Province and three deaths in the provinces of Hebei, Shanghai and Xinjiang, respectively," Xinhua quoted the commission as saying.
She added that 1361 other new cases of HIV infection were also recorded yesterday, and 2,393 people left hospitals after recovery, while the number of serious cases decreased by 156 to 11477 cases.
The committee added that the total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland reached 76,288 by the end of Friday, while a total of 2,345 deaths from the epidemic and 5,365 people were still suspected of contracting the virus.
The committee announced last night the improvement of the health situation in the country and the absence of any new infections with the new Corona virus in 14 provinces, confirming that the outbreak is under control.
