אס The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle, announced over the weekend that they would remove the Royal Royal title from the recently founded nonprofit organization, which was to be called the Sussex Royal Foundation. A spokesman for the couple said the decision will come to fruition this spring.

In another announcement yesterday, the royal house was criticized: They stated that the royal family or the British government did not own the term royal outside the United Kingdom. However, "the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use Sussex Royal or any version of royal in any territory." The couple also stated that they hoped to share the public with the details of the agreement earlier, to avoid any misunderstandings or inaccurate reports.

The couple added that their "preference" was to continue to represent and support Her Excellency, "even if in a more limited capacity" and without receiving public financial support. We also noted that although there is a precedent for members of the royal family to work outside the royal house, in their case a 12-month transition period was decided. We also stated that they understand that they must withdraw from their royal duties and not take on commitments on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II. Recent reports, along with the couple's philanthropic activities, Megan Merkel is looking to resume her acting career.
