Protest demonstrations renewed today in Beirut and some Lebanese regions to demand an improvement in the living situation and the fight against corruption in the country.
The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that the protesters organized protest marches in Beirut in front of the main center of Banque du Liban and Overseas, the Lebanese Central Bank on Hamra Street, in front of the main center of Fransabank Bank, and in front of the main centers of the Mediterranean Bank and Bank Audi, rejecting banking policies and denouncing the deteriorating economic and financial situation in Lebanon.
The protesters also demonstrated in front of the Association of Banks and the Riyad El-Solh and Shohadaa squares in central Beirut, carrying Lebanese flags and banners denouncing banking policies, in parallel with the Lebanese army and internal security forces.
Other protesters also organized a march that roamed the streets of Tire, raising national flags and banners, and chanting slogans condemning the financial and banking policy in Lebanon.
In the context, the participants condemned the march that roamed the streets of the city of Tripoli, the financial policy in the country, demanding accountability for the corrupt and the recovery of the stolen money.
While other protesters carried out sit-ins in the city square in front of the central port and the center of Ogero amid the heavy deployment of elements of the army and internal security forces.
Since October 17, Lebanon has witnessed demonstrations and protest actions calling for improving the living conditions, fighting corruption and holding the corrupt accountable.
