The 20-year-old man dug himself next to a tree in a cave where he spent the night. He was lucky that he had good equipment with him. On Thursday, he alarmed the emergency services of the Tyrol Rescue Control Center by emergency call . The “Libelle Tirol” police helicopter was able to rescue the 20-year-old with a rope.

He was only found slightly hypothermic, but showed no other injuries. The emergency services flew the hiker to Scharnitz . From there, the Harsdorfer could go home .
