Starnberg - The next storm is here, and trees are falling again in rows: "Bianca" moves across the district of Starnberg and causes trees to fall in rows. Fire departments moved out across the district in the evening to clear the streets. So far, nothing is known of serious accidents.
According to severe weather warnings, "Bianca" will rage until around 4 a.m. and bring wind speeds of up to 115 km / h. This is wind force 11 and is described as hurricane-like. The second highest warning level of the German Weather Service (DWD) currently applies. Unwetterzentrale.de estimates the situation in a similar way, but assumes storm until around 7 a.m. Most recently, wind speeds of around 75 km / h were measured in Andechs, also at Lake Starnberg. In gusts, however, the storm sometimes becomes significantly stronger.
There are also consequences for rail traffic. The S-Bahn runs slower on all lines, which leads to delays. Some routes, such as the Werdenfels network, will only start operations on Friday after exploratory trips, the train said.
