At least three Syrian soldiers were wounded Thursday evening in Israeli helicopter fire in the province of Qouneitra, in southern Syria, the official Syrian agency Sana said. " Israeli helicopters fired missiles over the occupied Golan at (Syrian) army positions in Kahtaniyeh, Al-Horiyyat and the city of Qouneitra, leaving three soldiers injured ," said Sana.

The strikes come after an attack earlier today by an Israeli drone also in Qouneitra province that killed a Syrian member of the " Syrian Resistance for the Liberation of the Golan ", according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH). This group was created more than six years ago by the powerful Lebanese Hezbollah armed movement to launch operations in the Golan Heights, located in the province of Qouneitra, most of which is occupied and annexed by Israel.

The official agency Sana, for its part, reported the death of " a civilian " after a strike carried out by an " Israeli drone targeting its car in the city of Hadar " in the province. Since the start of the Syrian conflict in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes against military positions in the power of Bashar al-Assad, but also against its allies, Iran and Hezbollah, two great enemies of the Hebrew state.

On the night of Sunday to Monday, six pro-Iranian fighters, including two from the Islamic Jihad, were killed in Israeli strikes near Damascus, according to the OSDH. Triggered in March 2011 with the repression of pro-democracy protests by the regime, the war in Syria has continued to get more complex over the years. The conflict has killed more than 380,000 people and displaced millions.
