U.S. growth slowed in 2019 to 2.3% from 2.9% in 2018, as businesses slowed investment and contained inflation, according to Commerce Department data released on Thursday.
In the fourth quarter, GDP advanced 2.1% compared to the same period last year, according to a second estimate unchanged from the previous one. This is slightly worse than expected by analysts, who expected 2.2%.
