It is an XXL election promise: Kranzberg's mayor candidate Anton Hierhager (SPD) wants to make the Fischerwirt the pulsating center of the village again. He plans:
Kranzberg - In the historic building, Anton Hierhager not only wants to accommodate professional home office spaces for around 20 Kranzberg commuters and team work rooms, but also, depending on the wishes of the citizens, to design a meeting point for young and old, for example with a café, ice cream parlor and fitness rooms ,
"Citizens are welcome to contribute their wishes and help shape this village center, which is not currently available," said Hierhager on Wednesday evening during the Political Ash Wednesday of the SPD Kranzberg. In front of around 120 visitors at the Metzgerwirt, he emphasized: "That would be a win-win situation of the best kind - especially natural for the citizens."
Hierhager has already spoken to the owners of the building in the center of the village, where many weddings, carnival balls and other major events used to take place. “After all the years of vacancy, I was very happy with my proposal. You can see a whole new way of bringing this wonderful building back to life and putting it to use. ”
Fischerwirt: Hierhager already has the specialist on hand
Hierhager also has an expert who has the know-how to implement such a project at hand: Professor Helmut Krcmar from the Chair of Information Systems at the TU Munich. "He also has excellent contacts to industrial partners." Usually an operator organization leases the rooms to large companies.

"The need is there," said Hierhager. More than 1,600 commuters would live in Kranzberg. "The entire pendulum movement causes an enormously high volume of traffic with all the consequences such as noise, traffic jams and CO2 emissions." This can be avoided because, thanks to advancing digitalization, the presence of employees in the office is no longer absolutely necessary. "But home office between the raging crowd is only a sub-optimal solution."
Enthusiasm for political competition
Coworking spaces, according to Hierhager, on the other hand, would offer professional jobs close to where they live. "Thanks to such solutions, employees spend less time in the car, have more free time for themselves and the family and also do something for environmental protection."
The response to Hierhager's idea was enormous. Even the political competition was enthusiastic on Wednesday evening. "This project is a sensation," said KGL councilor Sebastian Ströhl on the sidelines of Political Ash Wednesday, and CSU chairman Roland Haslbeck also said: "That would be a very big step."
Hierhager also wants to convert the sports home
The revitalization of the fisherman is not the only vision that Hierhager wants to realize. On Wednesday evening, he outlined a second major project: the redesign of the sports home and the realization of an amperpath, which the CSU Kranzberg also has on the agenda.
