On the dirt street of José Ingenieros in 1700, in the Martín Fierro neighborhood of Marcos Paz, the movement is incessant. Friends, family, neighbors, sports authorities and Olympic athletes approached the family home of Braian Toledo (26) to say goodbye to the remains of the javelin thrower who died in a traffic accident.

The ambulance with the coffin that carried Braian's remains arrived ten minutes past 18 at his family's house. There were two minutes of applause and much crying .

“Everyone here knew him. He was humble and everyone loved him, "said Agustina, a neighbor.

"I always had words of support, encouragement ... Beyond the athlete, a great person willing to help and give a hand was lost," was the memory of Walter Pérez, former Olympic cyclist in Beijing 2008 and representative of the Commission of Athletes before the press.

During the day, Pareto had posted on Twitter several journalistic notes that marked Braian's personality. And he wrote with a broken heart: " Example where you look ."

The athlete's death occurred when he returned on his black Royal Enfield motorcycle to his apartment in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez, which is close to the Cenard facilities, where he trained. There he lived with his partner, sportswoman Sofía Lamarque , sports shooting specialist.
