Weather: Storm "Jorge" will cross France this weekend

The north of the country will be crossed by numerous gusts of wind up to 130 kh / h.


The wind will continue to blow this weekend over the north of France. Storm "Jorge" will sweep over a large northern part of the country, with gusts between 100 and 120 km / h near the coast and between 90 and 100 km / h inland. From the night between Friday and Saturday, the disturbance will affect the Breton coast with gusts which reach 110 km / h. Saturday morning the disturbance will continue on the north of France with gusts up to 90 km / h. The first depression of "Jorge" will reach the Grand-Est and the north of Franche-Comté with gusts at 90-100 km / h, up to 130 km / h on the Vosges crests on Saturday afternoon.

A short respite on the night of Saturday and Sunday will give way to a new depression Sunday morning, accompanied by a further strengthening of the winds at 120 km / h from the Charentes to the southern coasts of Brittany and 90 to 100 km / h in the land.

In the afternoon, the winds will progress towards Hauts-de-France, the Paris basin, the Loire Valley center and the Channel coasts with gusts of 90 to 100 km / h inland.
