Update from February 26, 2020: Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is currently making headlines with one shock action after the other. At first, a music clip with explicit scenes caused a sensation (see first report on February 18), then a live performance by the Rammstein singer caused a sensation. The 57-year-old stepped in front of his audience at a solo concert in Hanover , cut up fish and then threw the carcass into the audience . There was criticism.
Now "PETAZWEI", the youth campaign of the animal protection organization PETA, was forced to make a statement because of this action and is not exactly squeamish with the musician. "We hope that Till Lindemann will look for a therapist as quickly as possible to get his empathy under control," writes "PETAZWEI" on his website.
The animal rights activists are well aware that Lindemann sees the action as art: "It is one thing to provoke as an artist and to always be one step ahead of the audience." Another thing, however, is "living things like worthless objects to throw the area, "it says.
