Reaction in Cuba to the praise of Sanders

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders recently praised Cuba's literacy program, launched shortly after the Cuban revolution of the late dictator Fidel Castro. His comments generated diverse reactions in the United States and numerous attacks during one of the debates in the Democratic primary. Cuban state media welcomed the comments, however, two of the teachers who were part of the program and helped put an end to illiteracy on the island, say that Sanders' defense of socialist policies may not be so smart.
