The Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Sattar El-Sayed stressed the necessity of paying attention to teaching classical Arabic, its rules, empowering it in society and fortifying it, because it is considered the main factor in protecting Arab culture, heritage and civilization.
The Minister of Awqaf indicated during his lecture at the Al-Assad Library today, under the title "The Role of Inclusive Interpretation in Empowering the Arabic Language" on the occasion of the Arab Day for the Arabic Language "that the Arabic language is the basis and structure of the nation and it is a sacred language because it is the language of the Holy Qur’an that preserved it from loss, stressing that empowering it is the basis in Confronting the cultural invasion.
The Minister linked between the attempts to leave the Turks that continued over 400 years of religious obscurantism to the Ottomans in the Levant and the targeting of the Arabic language and the massacres they committed, and what was found in the areas liberated by the brave Syrian Arab army from the abomination of terrorists and the extremist Brotherhood from the Turkish curricula with the aim of leaving Turks and religious extremist approaches stressing Our valiant army today prevents the wheel of time to turn back. Every extremism or religious or cultural backwardness was the source of yesterday's hateful Ottoman occupation, crimes, extermination, and Turkish-Muslim Brotherhood invasion today.
The Minister of Awqaf said, “Through our understanding in the Levant of the Arabic language and the purposes of Islamic law, we assure everyone that the Arab-Wahhabi, Wahhabi, and Ottoman-Muslim Brotherhood understanding of Islam created extremism, terrorism, atonement, massacres, religious backwardness, and with it cultural and linguistic backwardness.”
Minister Al-Sayyed pointed out that when he entered the Levant, Islam was pure as God Almighty revealed it, and that the Christians in it stood by Islam in the face of the Romans since that time, since Syria was the cradle of Christianity and the origin of Islam was thus, and thus will remain thanks to the sacrifices of our righteous martyrs and the valor of the Syrian Arab Army.
The lecture was attended by Minister of Culture Muhammad Al-Ahmad, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sayyid, Chairman of the Empowerment of Arabic Language, Chairman of the Arab Writers Union, media, cultural and religious events, and a group of interested parties.
