The Ministry of Interior announced that two persons were arrested for promoting narcotic drugs in Damascus.
The ministry said in a statement, which Sana received a copy of, that during the monitoring and follow-up, the anti-drug branch in Damascus was able to arrest two people in the "Solidarity" locality in Damascus, and confiscated two kilograms of hashish, a gun and an assault bomb.
The Ministry pointed out that, by investigating the two persons, they confessed to possessing and promoting narcotic drugs, and by examining their situation, it was found that a search radio had been found against one of them for the crime of stealing motorcycles.
The Department indicated that investigations are under way to arrest the source of the materials and the rest of the partners, and that the arrested persons will be brought to justice in due form.
